Description
Stunning example in Snowberry white; restored at a cost of over £21k
in 2018; manual overdrive; very reluctant sale; as nice as they
come...
A very reluctant sale, this smart UK-supplied MGC was first
registered in London in November 1968. It comes with a Heritage
Certificate which shows that it was completed on the 9th October 1968,
finished in Snowberry White with Black trim, fitted with wire wheels and manual
overdrive gearbox.
Undergoing a well-documented £21,000 restoration in
2018, a list of the parts used is exhaustive.
Several photos show the car
prior to the restoration, with images both inside and out and under the bonnet.
There was plenty to do, and judging by the list, no expense was spared during
the restoration.
Panels were acquired and fitted and the interior has
benefitted from a well-executed retrim which included new red carpets, classy
burgundy seats and door cards and a new wooden steering wheel.
The wire
wheels are in great condition and the paintwork good. Under the bonnet we find
the 3.0-litre inline six with twin SU carburettors good for a punchy 145bhp, the
engine bay itself presents very nicely and just like the rest of the car, is in
lovely clean condition.
With the vehicle we have invoices from the
restoration dating to March 2018 and totalling £21,378 alongside some old
photographs and an old handwritten informal sales receipt (date unknown) and of
course the BMIHT Certificate. According to GOV.UK three MOTs were carried out
between 2017 and 2019 all passes showing no advisories.
