Showing 55,000 miles only; Vanden Plas manual gearbox; ideal for the 1980s fan

First registered in May 1985, this Metro displays all the right detail to be shown at that Metro festival you have been planning on going to for years!

Presenting well for the auction, it was last put through an MOT on the 1^st June this year which revealed no advisories and has driven just over 5,000 miles since. (NOT actually true - it has in fact only travelled about 20 miles since the last MOT.

We understand from Experian that this Metro was originally gold coloured but is of course now sporting its flashy dark blue with striking red detail, associated go-faster sticker work and some new looking METRO mud flaps. (Yes, that is what you can see hanging down in the main photo!)

We have to assume that a lot of money has been spent on this car at one point, given the appearance it has inside, outside and within the pretty impressive looking engine bay, although there is little paperwork to confirm when this was done.

It should be noted that although the V5C states it is an auto, it does in fact have a manual gearbox fitted.

NB. As photographed, the original dash is included in the sale, which appears to have developed some faults at one point. The online MOT history shows a steady increase of miles over the years, so although the current mileage showing on the new dash may not be exactly accurate for the car, it is believed to be VERY close!
