Tidy four-owner 2.0 turbocharged 9-3 in SE spec with manual 'box and just 62,700 miles; No Reserve

Supplied new by Turners Saab of Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk in July 2000 this First generation saab 9-3 is finished in a super hue of metallic blue with contrasting black Mohair soft-top and rides on a set of attractive 16” three-spoke alloy wheels which hark back to the original 80’s 900 turbo alloy wheel design.

Under the bonnet, we find the 2.0 litre four-cylinder petrol B204E engine which features a light pressure turbo (LPT) with 0.40 bar of pressure, developing a conservative 154bhp and useful 219NM of torque driving the front wheels here via five-speed manual transmission for an engaging drive.

Inside the typically comfortable and well appointed and ergonomically sensible cabin we find beige leather seats with manual adjustment, beige carpets and door cards with black dash and a smattering of wood effect trim to the centre console and binnacle.  In addition, we find electric windows, electric roof with manual release, multi-function steering wheel, electric mirrors, heated seats, rear ventilation, digital climate control with AC, trip computer, original factory fit radio/cassette player and night panel option.

The car shows just 62,700 miles and presents well with but a few marks commensurate with its age and use and was driven to us by its enthusiast and reluctant owner from South Gloucestershire.

The history file includes the V5C recording just three former keepers to our vendor along with the owner’s pack with manuals and service book containing an impressive 21 stamps, the last in June 2021 at 59,221 miles with all but the last (by SaabFlight independent Saab Specialists) by the same Saab main dealer, Cecil & Larter Ltd. Furthermore, the service book contains an additional five stamps for anti corrosion inspections and one for a paint and body repair to the NS and rear panel (replacement panels) by Marshall motor Group of Suffolk in November 2007.

In addition, we find the current MOT valid until June 2023 which recorded five minor advisories, one old MOT and two bills including for a replacement battery in April-22, and some minor MOT repairs in June of this year which addressed the failings at a cost of £444.
