Lot Ended
Description
Menacing
looks; huge road presence; Wilwood disc brakes; Edelbrock carb; just two owners
since landing in the UK; exhaust note to die for; cooler than a cool
thing!
V8 Big Block Mustang! Need we say any more? Built in 1967 and
first UK registered in October 2019, this Coupe has been part of a private
collection where it has been dry stored and not in use since
2020.
Finished in menacing metallic black paintwork and sitting on a set
of 15” five-spoke dished alloy wheels, it certainly looks the part. With some
modern halo headlights and a bit of camber thrown in too, there aren’t many cars
on the road that scream presence like this one.
Fitted with a full-fat
Yankee V8 with an Edelbrock carburettor stuck on top, this Mustang really does
make all the right noises whether at idle or full tilt. Behind the wheels we see
a set of Wilwood brake calipers, other upgrades including a fully refurbished
8.8 axle, four-branch exhaust manifolds and stainless steel exhausts. No doubt
there are other goodies too.
Coming with just the logbook, unfortunately
we do not have any invoices or other paperwork for this lot. The sale does
however include the original headlights and a few spares including a new
steering wheel. Badged as a 390 (6.3-litres), the V5C records the capacity as
5,400cc so you will need to make your own minds up on that
score.
Starting, running and driving on site with an exhaust note to die
for, this Mustang looks reassuringly straight and solid. It seems eminently
useable but due to recent lack of use some precautionary checks would be
advisable before it rumbles out onto the King’s highway once more.
On
offer at a ‘come and get me’ guide price, it will be a fantastic thing to cruise
around in this summer. Rock 'n roll!
