Supplied new by Westgate Motors Ltd of Wakefield in August 1978, this appealing B Roadster is finished in orange and looks well with its black rubber bumpers (so often changed for chrome) with black vinyl roof, black roll bar and wire wheels.

Under the bonnet, we find the familiar 1.8 litre B-series four cylinder engine driving the rear wheels via four-speed manual transmission with overdrive.

Inside the cabin, we find black a pair of retro-fit later style seats finished in black leatherette, black dash, manual windows and the original Kapestone radio/cassette player.

This example shows just 52,333 miles and has had, we believe, just three former keepers according to the current V5C and old style log book showing no former keepers.

In addition, the history file also includes some 21 old MOTs, a selection of photos of the car and ream of bills for parts and upkeep of the B over the years as well as the original Zeibart rust proofing guarantee information. We also note inclusion of the original Passport to Service with only the supplying dealer stamp plus 1^st free service and the optional extra order form (mud flaps and rear fog light).

The car is of course MOT exempt and thus ready to enjoy, starting promptly and running well as we moved it around for these shots.  Scope to tidy a few minor cosmetics as pictured and we think you’ll have yourself a smart and most usable B for modest outlay.
