Supplied new
by Eastern Motor Co. BMW main dealers of Edinburgh in May 2006, this smart and
muscular BMW Z4 Coupe comes to us in desirable Sport guise and is finished in
Titan Silver with black wrapped double-bubble roof, privacy glass to the rear
and sits upon a set of smart five-twin spoke 19” alloy wheels finished in
gunmetal.
Under the bonnet, we find the
legendry 3.0 N52 series straight six cylinder engine which as an ‘Si’ version
develops 261bhp and 361NM of torque driving the rear wheels here via six-speed
ZF 6hp19 automatic/tiptronic transmission with Sport mode and paddles behind the
steering wheel.
Inside, we find superb Oxblood
leather sports seats with electric adjustment and driver memory, electric
windows, silver dash trim, twin cup holders, automatic climate control with AC,
cruise control, multi-function leather steering wheel, automatic Xenon lights,
heated seats, traction control, tyre-pressure monitoring system, on-board
computer and electric mirrors.
As a Coupe
version of the popular Z4, not only do we find a useful and surprisingly
commodious hatchback boot but the car is also both more aerodynamic and stiffer
than its Roadster sibling improving both handling and turn
in.
The car presents well with its neat
integrated rear spoiler on the rear hatchback, sitting well on its factory
stiffer and lower Sport suspension and 19” wheels filling the arches nicely with
only very limited signs of age or its 104,844 miles.
The history file includes the V5C revealing eight former keepers to
our vendor who has enjoyed the Coupe for the last 2.5 years during which time
just c.5,500 miles have been covered, the service book recording nine stamps
inc. PDI, the most recent in March 2021 at 99,099miles by a local independent.
We also note two further entries for brake fluid changes in the
book.
Furthermore, the file also includes a
couple of old MOTs and a selection of invoices for maintenance and parts
including a pair of new rear Toyo Proxes tyres in June 2021, replacement starter
motor and manifold gasket in December 2021, rear suspension top mounts and dust
covers in April 2022.
The car looks ready to be
enjoyed with a current MOT valid until February 2024 with no advisories
recorded.
