2001 Aston Martin DB7 Vantage
Sleek automatic
5.9 V12 Coupe packing 420Bhp from 8 year ownership; regularly used and
maintained with recent new rear diff
Supplied new
by Five Oaks Garage Ltd, Aston Martin main dealers of The Channel Islands in
January 2000 this DB7 comes to us Vantage Coupe guise and is finished
in Solent Silver with contrasting light grey hide piped dark grey and sits
upon its original 18” 10-spoke alloy wheels.
Under the bonnet, a 5.9 litre AMV12 engine develops a whopping
420Bhp and 542Nm of torque driving the rear wheels here, via five-speed ZF
automatic/tiptronic transmission which offers a zero to sixty time of just 5.2
seconds and top speed of 165mph (limited).
Showing 90,001 miles, this example has seen regular use by our
vendor, a retired airline pilot including being driven to the sale from South
Wales. Inside, we find embossed
grey leather sports seats with electric adjustment inc. driver lumbar, blue
stitched dash top with light grey centre and anthracite carpets, carbon effect
trim, heated seats, red starter button, electric windows, AC, traction control
and steering wheel mounted gearchange buttons for tiptronic
mode.
The car’s history file includes the V5C
recording six former keepers to our vendor who has owned the car since May 2014,
the owner’s manual with service section revealing 16 stamps, 12 of which are
Aston dealers and Aston Martin Works Service, the last service stamp was in
March 2014 at 50,796 miles by HWM Aston Martin – the service book was full at
this point.
In addition, the file also includes a note from the vendor listing
some of the works undertaken during his tenure including (but not limited to) a
replacement differential, new heated front windscreen, new upper wishbones and
bushes, recent new battery, replacement starter motor in Nov-21 and new front
suspension arms and bushes plus regular servicing approx. every 5,000 miles
although the oil changes look to be largely undocumented.
Furthermore, there is an old V5C, nine old MOT certificates
and a selection of bills for parts and routine maintenance including the
replacement diff with fresh oil earlier this year along with some welding work
and wax-oil undersealing too plus purchase receipt from when our vendor bought
the car in 2014 at 50,936 miles and original sales brochure for the
car.
The car also comes with a cocktail shaker
and two American style cocktail glasses inscribed ‘007’ with a silhouette of a
Walther PPK handgun, which were won at a RoundTable event, the donor claiming
they were used in the opening sequence of GoldFinger having come from Pinewood
Studios (unproven) – a nice touch to have included with the Aston Martin we
think, and generous of the vendor.
The current
MOT is valid until November 2023 and records just one minor advisory for an oil
leak. Ready to be enjoyed, these Ian Callum designed beauties offer much in
terms of looks, brand and speed for Mondeo money.
