2003 Range Rover Vogue (L322)
No
Reserve
Tidy, earlier 4.4 V8 Vogue in an appealing colour
scheme showing just 81,900 miles with huge history; owned by a Private
estate for many years; huge spec inc. heated steering
wheel
Supplied new by Matford Land Rover main
dealers of Exeter, Devon in November 2003, this handsome L322 Series of Range
Rover comes to us in desirable, high spec Vogue form and is finished in unusual
light blue metallic and rides upon its original 19inch six-spoke alloy wheels
that look to have been recently refurbished.
Under the bonnet of this pre-facelift example, we find the BMW
sourced 4.4 litre M62B44 V8 petrol engine which develops 282bhp and 440NM of
torque driving all-four wheels via five-speed automatic/tiptronic
transmission.
Inside, typical of a top Vogue
spec third generation L322 Range Rover we find considerable luxury, with acres
of soft cream leather piped blue, real wood adorns the dash and we note two
stage heated multi-contour electrically adjustable front seats with driver
memory, rear heated seats, heated steering wheel, multi-function steering wheel,
Land Rover navigation and in-car entertainment, multi-zone climate control with
AC and independent rear blower control for hot/cold air, CD changer, the typical
array of off-road controls, adjustable ride height and suspension, parking
sensors, heated front and rear screens, cruise control, electric windows,
electric sunroof, electric folding mirrors, Xenon headlights and on
board-computer.
The Vogue shows just 81,900
miles, uncommonly low for a Range Rover of this generation, the car having lived
locally for many years on a large Private Estate, belonging to a well-known
Herford Philanthropist who became the third owner in 2009. The car remained on his estate taking
him all over the country, into the City (London for work) and up to Scotland for
multiple shoots, across to Ireland to as his vehicle of choice until his sad and
untimely death in 2021 when it passed to his wife and then to the estate manager
so attached to it were they all.
As a result,
the Range Rover has been well cared for, the bodywork looking very smart indeed,
as with the wheels and also interior with only some minor marks to the trim as
pictured from general use including hunting/fishing/shooting over the
years.
The history file includes the V5C,
couple of old V5C’s, owner’s pack and service book recording seven stamps the
last in January 2022 by Hereford 4x4 Ltd at 75,828 miles.
We also find a print-off of all works undertaken during the 13year
(2009-2022) estate tenure totalling some £13,189. Works of note here include £1,666 spent
on a new starter motor battery and brakes in 2013, £685 in 2015 on air
suspension repairs with a new compressor, £351 in 2020 on a new water pump and
drive belt and more recently £1,830 on an ECU repair, new control arms, radiator
and rocker cover gasket in 2021.
More recent
spend has included a replacement Stepper motor and automatic transmission oil
filter and gearbox oil in summer this year. The file includes supporting bills for
these parts and above works including some additional servicing bills not
included which are not stamped in the book.
We
also find at least 13 old MOTs plus the current, valid until July 2023 which
recorded just two minor advisories.
We do note on some historic MOTs that the mileage was unreadable, this
seems to be common on Range Rovers where the LCD display fails on the odometer
and other displays, although this looks to have since been addressed and
repaired.
Ready to be enjoyed, and on offer at
No Reserve, this big comfortable, capable, powerful 3rd generation
Range Rover has much to offer with acres of space, grace and pace complete with
useful tow hitch, side steps and hunting dog mascot on the bonnet in a nice
colour with lower miles, and as an earlier example benefits from lower road tax
at £360/annum instead of the normal £615 of the later models.
