1995 Bentley Turbo R

Super looking example boasting 21 service stamps; fresh £1,800 service and maintained by same Bentley specialist for the last 20 years; driven 250 miles to the sale

Dating from April 1995, this later model Bentley Turbo R presents well and was driven some 250 miles to us from London by the vendor who has enjoyed this palace on wheels for the last four years. 

Finished in dark green, it sits on its original 17” seven-spoke alloy wheels.  Inside, we find acres of tan leather and Burr walnut trim with air conditioning, electric windows, heated electric memory seats and radio/CD player with boot mounted CD changer. 

Under the bonnet, we find the colossal 6.75-litre V8 engine with big single Garret turbo charger providing immense shove with 660NM of torque driving the rear wheels via four-speed GM 4L80-E automatic transmission with Sport mode. The ‘R’ in the name was for Road holding, the R being the more driver focused machine with factory re-tuned sportier suspension and wider tyres on bigger alloy wheels, anti-lock brakes and Bosch MK-Motronic fuel injection.

Showing just 100,464 miles the car’s history file includes the V5C recording just four former keepers, the owner’s pack with manual and service book revealing some 21 stamps. The car looks to have been looked after by the same Bentley specialist in Isleworth for the last 20 years and was serviced ahead of delivery to us to the tune of £1,800 which included a gearbox oil and filter change too. Other works of note documented amongst the bills on file include a £7,000 spend on replacement head gaskets (a known weak spot on this engine) in August 2015 at 95,264 miles which is good news for the next owner.

In addition, we find 10 old MOTs along with the current which is valid until March 2023 which recorded five minor advisories (enter the reg online at check-mot.service.gov.uk).

Ready to be enjoyed, the vendor was reluctant to let her go and even kindly left half a tank of fuel for the lucky new owner. What a lot of car for the money!
