1997 BMW Z3 Roadster

Reserve
Pretty 1.9 litre narrow-body Z3 Roadster with
manual 'box, oxblood leather and smart manual soft-top showing just 42,633
miles
Supplied new by Rydale BMW in April 1997
this earlier, narrow-body Z3 is finished in Arctic Silver Metallic and sits upon
its original 16” five-spoke alloy wheels and features a black fabric roof with
plastic rear window with manual operation.
Inside, we find contrasting oxblood leather interior with electric
seat base operation, black dash trim, electric windows, electric mirrors,
original BMW Business radio/cassette player and a rather nice retro-fit leather
steering wheel with red stitching and after-market gearknob.
Under the shapely bonnet, we find the 1.9litre four-cylinder M44B19
engine which develops 138bhp and 180NM of torque driving the rear wheels via
five-speed manual transmission.
Showing just
c.42,634 miles (its hard to read) the car presents well, although there are
signs of some panel gap mis-fit along the driver’s door to bonnet edge shut
line. The hood boasts a clear rear window and the interior is very tidy for its
age.
The history file includes the V5C
revealing just four former keepers, the owner’s pack and service book recording
three stamps including PDI, the last in August 2012 at 31,292 miles and VOSA MOT
history print-out showing the last MOT expired in early September 2021 which
recorded two minor advisories for front tyre wear and OSF anti-roll bar linkage
wear at 41,631 miles.
Bidders please note, this
Z3 has been the subject of two insurance claims, the first designated Category-N
in December 2020 and then unfortunately another, designated Category-S in August
2021. That aside, the car is offered here at No Reserve so the highest bid takes
it away.
