1985 Rolls Royce Silver Spirit I

Tidy Spirit from five year ownership showing just 84,150 miles with 18 service stamps inc. £9,000 spent by current owner; driven some 150 miles to the sale

Supplied new in December 1985 to a Mr Mohammed via Lex Mead of Maidenhead this nice old Silver Spirit is finished in Cotswold Beige and sits on its original 15 inch wheels shod in with Avon rubber.

Inside the opulent cabin, we find cream leather with dark piping, light wood trim, electric front seats, electric windows, electric mirrors, polished metal trim, climate control, leather head lining, rear map pockets, fold-away rear tray tables, leather covered steering wheel, digital clock and temperature gauge and cruise control.

Showing just 84,178 miles, the car has evidently been cherished. The history file includes the V5C recording seven former keepers to the current of almost six years, a property developer from London who wanted the car to be spot on mechanically so he could enjoy it. He entrusting the car to Scotts of Hayling Island who inspected the car and undertook service and restorative works at a cost of some £9,000 beginning in August 2016 at 69,890 miles - invoices and photo album of which are on file.

In addition, we find the owner’s pack and service book recording some 18 service stamps, the last stamp being at 75,965 miles in May 2018 by Stoke Motors of Hayling Island which looks to have included a reconditioned alternator and new regulator.  In addition, we find an impressive 23 old MOTs dating back to the early/mid 90s which also back the mileage up along with DVLA copy ownership history, period sales brochure, magazine and road test literature.

Ready to be enjoyed, the car’s current MOT is valid until December 2022 recording just 1 minor advisory for a direction indicator flashing slowly, this earlier Spirit I offers a huge amount of car and opulence for little outlay with considerable spend in the last five years.
