2004 TVR T350T Targa
One of only 100 made and
c.70 remaining; only 30,700 miles with 16 services to date; uprated brakes,
radiator and suspension; air con; 350bhp; 0-60 in 4.4 seconds; the most fun you
can have with your clothes on!
Supplied new by Gatwick TVR of Surrey in July 2004, this
stunning T350 Targa has been in the current ownership since 2010 with four
former keepers. Finished in Iced Titanium with a mulberry red Ambla/grey
Alcantara interior, it has covered only 30,700 miles from new with an impeccable
service history comprising 16 stamps in the book, the last at 30,613 miles in
August this year, plus many supporting invoices. That gives an average service
interval of just 1,900 miles which is pretty obsessive by any standards!
Always garaged in the current ownership and used in the
summer months only, it is in excellent condition throughout. Invoices show that
the air con was regassed at the last service; four new Toyo tyres were fitted
around 500 miles ago; a new battery was fitted in 2018; the brakes were uprated
with new discs and pads all round in 2015 at 26,358 miles along with new rear
calipers; an uprated aluminium radiator was fitted in 2012; a new clutch was
fitted in 2011 at 19,340 miles; the chassis was cleaned and rust-proofed in 2011
when the alloy wheels were also refurbished.
The vendor found the original suspension too harsh and
crashy on bumpy roads so in 2014 he uprated it to an adjustable Gaz Gold Pro
system which is currently set up for British B roads but can be easily adjusted
via a spanner in the glove box. A Thatcham Cat 1 alarm system is also fitted and
the car comes with some spare bulbs and fuses, a spare accelerator cable and a
set of Andersen jump charge leads.
Pampered throughout its life, this stunning TVR T350 is
one of only 100 Targa models made, of which only 70 are thought to remain. In
exemplary condition throughout, it comes with an impressive history file
including the original handbook, 11 old MOTs and a current MOT valid until
August 2021 with no advisories recorded. Starting instantly and running
beautifully as we moved it around for these photos, it has an exhaust note to
die for and is just the kind of thing that any true petrolhead would love to
have in their garage.

MODEL HISTORY
With a top speed of 175mph, a 0-60 time of 4.4 seconds and
a gurgling exhaust note that could wake the dead, the T350 was a proper TVR in
the finest tradition with a better power-to-weight ratio than a Lamborghini
Murcielago.
However, it was also remarkably civilised (for a TVR)
causing even Jeremy Clarkson to state: "This is the best TVR I have ever driven.
The brakes are astonishing, so is the power. It is seriously, properly,
eye-poppingly fast. And because it doesn’t try to bite your head off every time
you make a mistake, you can use more of the power for more of the time."
With a naturally aspirated 3,605cc Speed Six engine
producing 350bhp and 290lb/ft and driving through a 5-speed manual gearbox, it
provided all the performance that any sane man could want. Just 460 were made
between 2002 and 2006, of which just 100 were Targas, and all are increasingly
collectable today.
