Description
Just three owners from new, the current since 2015; only 77,730 miles
indicated; just serviced; driven 50 miles to the sale; exceptionally clean and
tidy; jump in and enjoy!
First registered in September
2009, this Mercedes SLK200 Kompressor is a 2 Look Edition with various special
features to elevate it above the standard model. It is powered by a 184bhp
1.8-litre supercharged inline-four mated to 5-speed automatic transmission which
makes it good for 0-60mph in 7.6 seconds with a top speed limited to 155mph –
plenty quick enough for most people!
It has had just three owners
from new, the current since June 2015. It is showing 77,730 miles on the clock
and comes with all its original handbooks but no service book. There are 9 old
MOTs back to September 2012 when it was showing 34,343 miles. The current MOT is
valid until 29th September 2025 and has no advisories apart from a
rather pointless one saying ‘under trays fitted’ – why do they do
that?
There are a few invoices for
maintenance – it had a service in October 2011 at 25,755 miles and another major
service in October 2013 at 34,385 miles. In February this year it had another
minor service (fresh oil and filter plus new air filter) and it has been kept
garaged and barely used since.
Driven some 50 miles to the
sale, we are told that it drives very well indeed. It has been starting
instantly and running beautifully as we have moved it around on site.
The vendor tells us that there is a slight noise from the rear of the
car when you first set off but this soon disappears. Shortly before the auction
he took it to a local garage who diagnosed a sticky brake caliper so a new one
was duly fitted. Unfortunately this did not cure the noise which has since been
diagnosed as nothing more than a wheel bearing. The vendor did not have time to
get this fixed before the sale.
As you can see in the photos,
this Limited Edition Merc looks very smart indeed with gleaming Obsidian Black
paintwork and heated seats in funky black and white leather. The electric roof
works as it should. The 18” alloys look in good shape, as do the tyres and it
has two key fobs.
On offer at a modest guide
price, it will be a fine way to scoot around over the coming summer
months.
