Description
Recent
health-check; 17 service stamps; new brake discs and pads; advisory-free
MOT; an affordable way into classic Porsche
ownership
First registered in November
1985, this 924 comes with an advisory-free MOT until 23rd May 2025. At the
time of its last MOT a full heath-check took place with all minor issues taken
care of before the test. Being 40 years old, it will henceforth be MOT-exempt
and road tax will be free - yippee! AMENDMENT - Not
actually exempt until next year (November
2026)
Alongside its health-check in
May of last year, this Porsche was treated to a pair of new front brake
discs and pads, a brake fluid change, a new battery plus a few other minor
bits and bobs.
The service book shows 17
stamps, the last in May 2004 when the odometer read 35,503 miles.
However, please note that we believe the true mileage to be around 140,000 miles
- a new speedo cable was fitted in 1999 by Dick Lovett that set the
odometer back 4,000 miles and looking at the MOT history online the
odometer looks to have been playing up again from 2006 - 2008. The V5C
shows 8 former keepers, the current lady owner since November
2023.
Looking generally very presentable and finished in
eye-catching Guards Red, there is some scope for cosmetic improvement but
this 5-speed manual 924 looks to be an excellent base to start from. As with any
Porsche, these 924s are fantastic fun to drive with great handling and cool
Eighties style.
Starting promptly and driving
nicely on site, with healthy oil pressure, this looks like a lot of fun for
very little outlay. And next time anyone asks: 'What are you driving these
days?', you'll have a pretty classy answer...
