Description
Galvanised chassis; recent new canvas top and brake overhaul; very
smart example ready for work
First registered
in December 1981, this Series 3 Land Rover is a very solid workhorse
that comes with a well-documented list of work and
invoices.
A new galvanized chassis was
fitted in December of 2012, supplied by Richards Chassis, and still looks in top
condition today. We also have invoices for new door tops, the all-important
bulkhead having been restored too - presumably at the time of the chassis
swap.
The timing chain and rear main crank seal were changed in 2020
along with a switch to electronic ignition, a new
water pump, many service items plus an oil service.
More recently a new Exmoor Trim canopy has been fitted, along with
a brake service all round in February of this year.
Inside is well maintained and the floor itself looks sound
under the rubber mats. The vinyl front seats are smart and in the
back we find two nicely cushioned bench seats along with dollops of
useful space. The exterior
is very presentable for the age but does have the odd mark, inevitable with such
a useful workhorse.
The wheels look
to have been recently refurbished and complement the blue/beige theme of the
car.
Now MOT exempt, its last MOT was issued in May 2021 with just
a couple of minor advisories recorded, and it has only covered around 300
miles since.
