Description
From a deceased estate; recently recommissioned following 8 years
in storage
On offer from a deceased estate, this sleek X100 series Jaguar XKR
Coupe dates from February 2000 and was first registered in March
2003.
Finished in Dark Blue and wearing a set of attractive 20” BBS Detroit
alloy wheels the car looks to be in stock form with a smart Oatmeal leather
interior, dark wood trim and the usual decent spec of an
XKR.
Under the louvred bonnet, we find the typical 4.0 litre V8 engine
with Eaton Supercharger which developed 370bhp and whopping 525NM of torque
driving the rear wheels via five-speed automatic transmission with Sport mode
and cruise control here.
The car shows 90,860 miles and has been off the road in storage since
2016, covering only a handful of miles each year prior to that due to the
owner's health issues..
Pulled out earlier this year and brought up from Cornwall, the car
has been treated to a pair of new fuel pumps, a new battery, fresh fuel, 8
spark plugs, coil pack, some minor welding and a fresh MOT valid until
November 2025 recording five minor advisories.
The history file includes the V5C, 11 old MOTs and a selection of
invoices for parts and works/services undertaken including replacement pipework
beneath the supercharger and new gaskets in 2012 at 82,572 miles at a cost of
£1,171 and the recent parts purchased.
No doubt in need of some regular use and a major service following
its time in storage, the car looks very presentable but would benefit from some
localised bodywork repairs (as pictured) and a replacement headlining (£180
on eBay for a simple DIY fiberglass backed item). These XKRs offer stonking
performance and this one looks very tempting at the guide price
suggested.
