Description
A very smart later B with four new boots, exhaust, fresh MOT and new
upholstery; Webasto and overdrive; wire wheels; former show car; very sound and
ready to enjoy
First registered in October 1978, this 57,000 mile
BGT is very nicely finished and ready for action.
It shows eight previous
keepers on the V5C, the last acquiring the car in 2017, covering fewer than 500
miles in her ownership.
There are 18 old MOTs on file, sufficient to
substantiate the low mileage as correct along with a few bills and invoices,
including a bill of sale for £3,995 in 1996.
Sitting on wire wheels, the
vendor has fitted four brand new tyres and given the car a fresh MOT which has
no advisories and expires in January 2025. It required new brake shoes,
cylinder, pipes and fittings and a a new steering rack gaiter at the time,
adding a further £464 to the bill. The exhaust looks to be a recent replacement
too.
The Webasto roof is in good order and retains the air deflector and
the seats have been retrimmed in black leather piped blue.
All in
all, a very smart example with the odd show prize under its belt judging by the
rosette and certificates in the file.
Prices of the later 'B's have moved
closer to their earlier chrome-bumper siblings, largely due to their good build
quality and rot-free bodyshells.
