Lot Ended
Description
Four owners; 70,500 miles; a well spec'd 2+2 ready to enjoy; on
offer from a deceased estate
Unveiled in 2008 on an all-new platform
for Lotus, the Evora used the same super-stiff alloy chassis technology,
bonded and riveted, that had been introduced in the Elise.
The
engine was chosen from Toyota. Their tough 3.5-litre V6 developed 276bhp which
was perfectly sufficient to deliver a standing start to 62mph time of well under
five seconds and on to 160mph+.
This 2009 example was supplied new by
Bell and Colvill to its first owner, a Doctor who lived in nearby Cobham.
He kept it until 2011 by which time it had covered around 20,000 miles. Its next
owner used the car regularly, adding a further 45,000 miles until he sold it in
2017 to the vendor's late husband at around 65,000 miles through Quality Cars
Today Ltd. He added a further 5,500 miles, the speedo currently showing 70,435
miles. It is now registered in his widow's name - the fourth registered
keeper.
It comes with its original book pack, including the Lotus
Maintenance Record which shows five stamps. The first service took place in 2009
at 982 miles, then 8,178 miles in 2010 - both by supplying dealer Bell and
Colvill. Peter Smith Sports Cars saw it again in 2011 at 12,963 miles, then Car
Care Centre in Atherston at 37,788 in 2014 and Super Car Centre at
65,516miles in 2016. It has an MOT until March 2024 with no advisories recorded.
The car presents very well and with its 2+2 practicality, looks
excellent value for a quality high performance car with Toyota
reliability.
