Description
Older restoration in sparkling condition throughout
This
delightful pram-hood Chummy was first registered in London in February 1926.
Nothing is known about the early history of the car other than the chassis was
rescued from an orchard in Hertfordshire in 1969 and the car was restored from
that and that from 1981 to 2018 it was owned by a gentleman in Skipton.
Sadly there is no documentation with the car other than a V5C so we can’t tell
you much about it, although an online check of the MOT history shows that it was
tested and on the road in 2006/07 and again in 2011/12.
It has clearly been restored, HPI/Experian recording a colour
change from green and black to maroon and black in 2014.
Our vendor acquired the car in 2018 and has used it only lightly,
mainly going to local shows. He believes that it retains its original floorpan,
the number 13884 being stamped into the metal between the front seats.
As you can see in the photos and the video,
the car looks lovely and drives as it should. These early pram-hood
Chummies are now rather rare (their are just 350 or so recorded on the Pram
Hood Register) so if you have ever fancied one, this is a chance not to be
missed.
