Description
A very smart example of this charismatic six-cylinder Roadster;
various upgrades; recent new hood, carpets and leather seats; Kenlowe fan;
stainless steel exhaust
As the Heritage
Certificate confirms, this smart MGC Roadster was built in February 1968
finished in British Racing Green with a black interior and a black hood. Options
included wire wheels, a heater, a packaway hood and a tonneau cover. It was sold
new via University Motors of London.
In the
current ownership since 2018, it comes with very little history other than a few
invoices from May 2022 when it received an oil and filter change, a new brake
master cylinder, new front brake pads and a tune-up of the carbs.
We are also told that the suspension has been
uprated and it recently had a new mohair hood upgraded to pram style. The
carpets have also been renewed fairly recently and new leather seats fitted from
a later car along with inertia reel seatbelts. The dash has rather more
switches and sockets than you would find on a standard MGC and it has a modern
JVC radio/CD fitted. Other upgrades include a Kenlowe fan and a stainless steel
exhaust.
As you can see in the photos, it looks
very smart indeed, both above and below, with just a couple of minor paintwork
blemishes here and there. Starting promptly and running beautifully as we have
moved it around on site, with good 40psi oil pressure, it has an MOT until May
2023 with no advisories recorded.
It is only
for sale due to the current owner's eyesight problems which mean his driving
days are numbered.
