Under 11,500 miles from new with 14 services to date;
MOT July 2023; super history file; ready for action
Delivered
new to its first owner in July 2004, this Morgan 4/4 was supplied
through Richard Thorne Classic Cars who gave it its first service just one month
later at 1,046 miles. The service book shows 14 stamps in total which confirms
the current 11,454 mileage as correct and equates to an average service interval
of just over 800 miles - pretty impressive by any standards.
A
detailed log of service work at Richard Thornes lists the addition of a clock,
wax treatment to the chassis and underside, a full service and a Caliver RMD
radio with inbuilt speakers all in 2017. It revisited them in 2018, '19 and 2021
- presumably having a year off over Covid. Standing idle rendered the fuel pump
u/s so this was replaced in October '21 along with some attention to a small
area of corrosion on the wing. New Lift the Dots on the hood were fitted in July
last year.
There are plenty of invoices on file to show lots of care and
attention over the years, the 4/4 Runabout being introduced as the purest
and simplest model in the Morgan Range.
Offering bags of appeal for some
proper hood down motoring this summer, it comes with some nice aftermarket
fittings such as a luggage carrier and Union flag badging.
The 1,600cc
Ford Zetec offers plenty of performance in this sub-800kg car, with superb
reliability, frugal fuel consumption and low insurance - and with the price of
the cheapest new four-wheeled Morgan now starting with a £7!!! - what's not to
like??
