2003 BMW M3 Convertible (E46)
Appealing M3
convertible with six-speed manual transmission from 6-year ownership wearing
attractive 19" CSL style wheels
Supplied new in
January 2003 this pre-LCI (March 2003) BMW E46 generation of M3 Convertible is
finished in desirable Titanium Silver with contrasting Blue Mohair hood, and
sits upon a set of after-market CSL Style 19” alloy wheels with a polished
finish, really setting the car off with added stance and attitude.
Under
the sculpted bonnet we find the M3’s superb beating heart, that wonderful
3.2-litre high-revving S54B32 straight-six engine which develops 338Bhp and
365NM of torque driving the rear wheels here, via six-speed Getrag 420G manual
transmission – the purist’s and driver’s choice.
Inside, we find matching silver grey leather with electric
adjustment and driver memory, electric Mohair soft-top with heated glass rear
screen, multi-function M-steering wheel with cruise control, on-board computer
(OBC), digital climate control with AC, radio/Cd player with Harmon Kardon sound
system, three-stage heated seats, traction/stability control, tyre pressure
monitoring, Sport mode, automatic Xenon lights, fog lights, electric windows and
electric mirrors.
The M3 shows 100,199 miles
and has been with our vendor for the past six years during which time it's
covered less than 5,000 miles. The
car presents well with only minimal signs of age/mileage as expected and was
driven to the sale from the Midlands.
The
history file includes the V5C revealing eight former keepers, the owner’s pack
with hand books, a print-out from BMW showing 12 main dealer service visits
between October 2004 at 6,560 miles and June 2015 at 88,688 miles (useful should
the next owner wish to have a service book stamped up).
In addition, we also find a ream of invoices for parts and
maintenance including a £618 spend on brake pipes, new front OS lower radius arm
in June 2020, a further £1,564 spend also in June 2020 on a service, front discs
and pads, rear discs and pads, both rear top mounts, new oil gallery valve, new
hand brake shoes, gear box oil change and replacement jacking
block.
We also find a bill for a head gasket
replacement with new head bolts in September 2015 at 85,465 miles costing £1,307
plus seven old MOTs. The current
MOT is valid until October 2023 with no advisories recorded, and thus looks
ready to be enjoyed as its meant to be, roof up or roof down with that wonderful
straight-six putting its ample power to the road via a proper manual
‘box.
