Description
1973 MGB GT
One
of the nicest we have seen; Webasto roof; wires; overdrive; current owner 30+
years; ready to show and go
Dating from November 1973, this
excellent example of a BGT has been in
the same ownership since 1991.
It was fully restored during the period
1991 to 1999, with a full photographic and documentary record. It appears from
the MOT file which dates back to when the restoration was finished that the
odometer was zeroed. The vehicle has covered just 20,694 miles since
then.
Finished
in Flame Red, the car sits on 14" wire wheels with excellent Falken Tyres. It
has gleaming paintwork and chrome and is enhanced with a sliding Webasto
sunroof. The attention to detail doesn't stop there, as the under bonnet and
boot areas are also up to standard. It's worth peering underneath also as this
shows what an excellent restoration this was.
Inside the cabin doesn't
disappoint, with leather (leatherette) seats, original steering wheel, excellent
period crackle black dash finish and a radio/cassette/CD
Player.
Mechanically
it has the robust 1.8-litre B-Series engine, mated to an all-synchromesh
four-speed gearbox with overdrive. The suspension features Gaz adjustable
telescopic shock absorbers and upgraded front brakes.
Ready
to be enjoyed, this lovely BGT presents beautifully and is a testament to the
owner's time and dedication laboured on the car in 31 years'
ownership.
