1973 MGB Roadster
High-spec chrome bumper
Roadster; MGOC recon engine and unleaded head 2012; sports exhaust; ground up
restored 2009/10
This Harvest Gold 1973 B Roadster has been with our
vendor since 2015, having been through a ground up restoration by a previous
owner in around 2009/10.
Photos on file show it stripped to the bare
shell, and carefully prep'd and painted, including a comprehsensive underseal
which has kept the car in excellent condition.
Bills for two new doors
are among the many invoices on file, which also include an MGOC rebuilt engine
with unleaded head. The car is bristling with extras, including a roll bar, wind
break, comfy leather reclining seats, wood dash and a wooden steering
wheel.
The overall mileage is unknown, but the car appears to have
covered around 5,000 miles since restoration - enough to shake down the car
without wearing it out!
It comes with a couple of MG books and in the
boot, a tonneau cover.
Running well around 12 months ago, we have not
been able to fire it up since arrival on site - we suspect a lazy fuel pump. The
oil pressure shot straight up when cranking and it should be a simple task
to get it fired up once more.
On offer for a fraction of the price of
restoring one yourself, this MkII chrome bumper car looks terrific value at the
suggested guide price.
