2010 Porsche 911 Carrera 2S (997.2)
One owner
3.8-litre Gen-2 example in desirable S spec with superb spec including Sport
Chrono Plus, 7-speed PDK and BOSE sound system showing just 20,318 miles, main
dealer service in May-22 costing £2,228
Supplied
new by Porsche Centre Reading in May 2010 this desirable 997 Gen-2 (997.2)
version of the popular Porsche 911 Carrera 2S comes to us in desirable, and more
potent ‘S’ guise.
Finished in Basalt Black
(LC9Z) the car sits upon its original 19” Turbo alloy wheels (as found on the
Turbo model, option 404) with lacquered spoke faces and painted inners which
really give the car added purpose and presence. Inside, we find contrasting and
glorious natural Carrera red leather interior with matching door cards, carpets,
dash and steering wheel and black suede headlining which looks
epic.
Slung out the back, we find the larger
3.8 litre flat-six engine as fitted to the more potent ‘S’ variants which with
the face-lift enhancements, (including direct fuel injection) develops 380bhp
driving the rear wheels here (Carrera 2) via seven-speed PDK semi-automatic
transmission giving a 0-60mph time of just 4.5 seconds and top speed of 188mph –
wow.
This car boasts just one owner from new
and has covered just 20,318 miles, and as such is in what looks to be super
condition. The options sticker in
the service book shows the car to have been specced with the following options
codes – Sport chrono dial on dash (026), 7-speed PDK transmission (250),
top-tinted windscreen (567), DVD navigation Europe (610), 12v socket in
passenger footwell (621), Sport Chrono Plus (640), phone module for PCM (666),
navigation module for PCM (672), BOSE sound system (680), floor mats (810),
multi-function steering wheel (844), universal multimedia interface (870) and
leather rear seats (936) - this of
course in addition to the standard spec.
The
history file includes the V5C, old V5C, owner’s manual and service book with
five service stamps, the last in May 2022 at 20,226 miles by Porsche Centre
Bristol who have carried out two of the stamps, the others have been by a
Citroen main dealer in the Forest of Dean. Furthermore, the book also contains
two stamps for brake fluid changes both by Porsche Bristol, the last in May 2022
and one stamp for Long-life condition report in 2012.
There
is only one invoice on file for the most recent service which cost a staggering
£2,228 including gearbox oil and the original purchase invoice with options
chosen totalling £76,716 including a discount of £5,233 off the list price. We
also find the Porsche Certificate of Commissioning for the Thatcham Category 5
alarm system fitment from May 2010 plus the current MOT valid until June 2023
recording no advisories.
Ready to be enjoyed,
it looks staggering value given purchase price, sole ownership, spec and low
mileage….probably why we are all seriously hankering after this
one!!
