Description
2007 BMW 650i Sport (E63)
From a deceased
estate; pre-facelift example showing under 116k miles with 10 services to
date, the last only 200 miles ago; new rear tyres; heated seats; super-smooth
4.8 V8 with 362bhp; cost over £57k new; very tidy all round
A worthy rival
to the Jaguar XK, the Mercedes SL and even the increasingly lardy Porsche 911,
the BMW 6 Series (E63) was launched in 2003 and stayed in production until 2010
with a minor facelift in late 2007. A luxury GT designed by Adrian van Hooydonk,
it was a big car available as a coupe or a convertible but kept its weight down
by use of aluminium doors and bonnet and carbon-reinforced plastic front wings
and boot.
Five engines
were available from the smallest 3.0 diesel to the largest 5.0 V10 petrol in the
top-of-the-range M6. The 650i (as here) had a creamy smooth 4.8 V8 which
produced 362bhp and 361lb/ft of torque allied to a six-speed automatic gearbox
which made it good for 0-60 in 5.5 seconds with a top speed limited to 155mph.
The Sport version also had larger 19” wheels, an M Sport steering wheel, sports
seats and birch wood cockpit trimmings.
Wonderfully
quick and refined, the 650i Sport cost over £57k new and, at just a tenth of
that amount, it makes a mighty tempting second-hand buy
today.
Supplied new by MLG BMW of Chiswick in
August 2007, this pre-facelift 650i Sport looks very impressive in black with a
black leather interior and is packed with all the luxuries you would expect of
this flagship Coupe including heated front seats.
It has covered 115,800 miles to date in the hands of five owners,
the current since September 2020, with a good service history comprising 10
stamps in the book, the last less than 200 miles ago in March 2022. Recently
fitted with new rear tyres, it has an MOT to October 2022 and retains all its
original handbooks in the leather BMW wallet.
On offer here from a deceased estate, it appears to be in generally
good order throughout and has been starting instantly and running beautifully as
we have moved it around on site.
