2001 Land Rover Range Rover 4.6 Vogue
(P38)
Later model top-spec example
from nine year ownership; in appealing order with good history; driven some
100 miles to the sale
Supplied new by
Hollingdrake Land Rover of Stockport in March 2001, this late model P38 comes to
us in desirable Vogue spec and is finished in charming Epsom Green metallic and
sits upon its original 18” Hurricane alloy wheels.
Inside, we find the typical Vogue (top spec) interior with cream
leather interior piped dark green, electric heated front seats with driver
memory and lumbar adjustment, walnut trim, half-timbered multi-function steering
wheel, electric windows, electric glass sunroof, on-board trip computer, cruise
control, radio/CD player with sat nav (non-functioning – see image) and Harmon
Kardon sound system, dual zone climate control with A/C, functioning (at the
time of cataloguing) air-suspension with multiple ride height options, rear
ventilation, side steps and tow bar.
Under
the bonnet, we find the 4.6-litre Thor V8 engine developing 215bhp driving
all-four wheels via automatic transmission giving more than ample and
surprisingly potent performance with a lovely V8 burble.
Showing just 107,870 miles this later P38 has been with the last
owner for some nine years, the V5C revealing just five former owners. In addition, the history file also
includes 2 keys, the owner’s pack and service book recording an impressive 13
stamps plus one hand-written entry with an array of supporting invoices for
parts and maintenance. Furthermore, we find 19 old MOTs plus the current, valid
until February 2023 recording seven minor advisories (enter the reg at
check-mot.service.gov.uk).
These late model
P38’s have really started to soar in value and desirability of late,
particularly the bigger 4.6 versions so get involved whilst you still can end
enjoy a properly capable V8 Range Rover from the era of BMW and Ford influence
over Land Rover.
