Appealing and potent 2nd Gen 210bhp
turbocharged 9-3 drop-top with leather interior, 5-speed auto/tiptronic
transmission & considerable history file
Supplied new by GreenHouse Saab of Telford in December 2006, this
stylish 2nd Generation convertible 9-3 comes to us in desirable and
powerful 2.0 Turbo Aero spec and is finished in grey with contrasting black
mohair hood and sits upon eye-catching 10-spoke 17inch alloy
wheels.
Under the bonnet, we find Saab’s proven
and powerful 2.0-litre Turbo Ecotec B20yR 4-cylinder engine which develops
210Bhp driving the front wheels via 5-speed automatic/tiptronic transmission
giving exciting performance with 0-60mph dispatched in just 7.9 seconds
according to period road tests – pretty swift.
Inside this top of the range Aero spec model, we find sculpted grey
leather seats matching the body colour, flashes of sporting aluminium trim,
multi-function steering wheel with paddle controls for the tiptronic
transmission, on-board computer and hands free phone controls, dual zone climate
control with A/C, cruise control, cup holder, electric windows, electric mirrors
and Saab’s own sound system plus controls for the fully automatic Mohair soft
top with heated glass rear screen.
The car has
covered 102,401 miles (an average of just 6,500 miles per annum) which is backed
up by 10 stamps (+1 for anti-corrosion check in 2009) in the service book
including PDI, the last in July 2018 at 95,583 miles by Mill Garage of
Allensmore, Hereford and 8 old MOTs.
In
addition, the history file includes the V5C recording just 4 former keepers to
the current of 4 years, 2 keys, the owner’s pack, Certificate of Conformity
(CoC), purchase invoices at 82,000 miles in June 2016, January 2010 at 28,630
miles and July 2007 at 4,500 miles. Plus, a selection of invoices for parts and
maintenance including a replacement wiper mechanism in 2016, new A/C radiator in
2015, replacement brake calliper in 2017, new front discs and pads in Feb 2019,
check over in January 2021 and new battery in April 2021.
Ready to be enjoyed, this appealing car has much to offer with
scope to do a few small bits to bring it right up to par cosmetically with
perhaps, a wheel refurbish and localised repair to the small scuffs on the lower
front bumper and sill end as pictured – a lot of fast flash for little
outlay.
