1999 Porsche Boxster

Under 86,000 miles with 14 services to date; new tyres all round; air con regassed; private plate; just back from a faultless tour of Spain

First registered in December 1999, this Boxster 986 has the mid-mounted 2.7 water-cooled flat-six engine rated at 217bhp which, mated to 5-speed manual transmission, makes it good for 0-60 in 6.6 seconds with a top speed of 156mph and up to 32mpg economy.
It has covered 85,980 miles in the hands of four owners with an excellent service history comprising 14 stamps in the book, the last at 83,565 miles in February this year which included new Pirelli P7 front tyres and new brake pads all round. The first six stamps are by main dealers and the last eight (from 2007 onwards) are all by specialist Hillcrest Porsche of Henley-on-Thames, with many supporting invoices. From 2014 - 2019 the car was kept garaged and unused while the owner was in South Africa, being thoroughly recommissioned upon his return.   
Finished in metallic dark blue with matching blue leather seats, options include 17" turbo-twist alloys, xenon headlights, wind deflector and air conditioning which was regassed in August this year. The rear tyres were also renewed in September this year. The electric hood is in good condition and functions as it should.
Our vendor acquired the car in March this year and it recently took him and his wife on a long and joyful drive through the mountains of Northern Spain, performing just as a Boxster should. However, at the ripe old age of 82 he finds that he can't jump in and out as nimbly as he would like, so to spare his wife any further embarrassment (she hates it!), reluctantly it has to go.   

Supplied with its original bookpack, two sets of keys and a personalised number plate, it has an MOT until February 2022 with no advisories recorded. Starting promptly and running sweetly as we have moved it around on site, it is in good condition for its age/mileage, the only real faults we noted being a dent at the leading edge of the passenger door and at the base of the rear wheelarch on the same side, as shown in the photos.
