Dating from June 2008 this late model L880 series 1 Copen features the innovative folding metal roof design packing much into its diminutive Kei car styling.

Under the bonnet we find the 1.3 litre K3-VE engine developing 85bhp driving the front wheels via 5-speed manual transmission. Originally finished in red, the car has been wrapped in a green/purple finish which changes as you move around the car in differing lights – it really is rather amazing. The original red finish is evident in the door jams and other apertures only visible when the doors are open or roof is in operation, but its evidently been professionally wrapped at some point in its life.

Inside, it has a custom interior in-line with the exterior finish, the interior leather work is purple with rainbow stitching finished to a beautiful standard and the comfortable seats in good order. Furthermore, the spec includes air conditioning, heated seats, electric folding metal roof, electric windows and mirrors too.

The car shows 84,000 miles covered by its 2 owners and looks sharp bar some bubbling typical of the model on the rear sill section and wheel arch as pictured. The history file includes only the V5C, owner’s pack with manuals and current MOT valid until August 2022 with one advisory for corrosion to the offside rear suspension mounting point, outer sill.
