You've probably already noticed the price of a weeks' AirB&B these days....simply frightening! Here is the solution.

Acquired late last year by its current owner, the bus is very very reluctantly offered for sale simply due to the purchase of their first house - needs must...

Comprehensively restored in 2012 - with photos show this T2 completely stripped. Resprayed and repaired where necessary, it has been very attractively trimmed inside and comes complete with rock and roll bed for that perfect weekend away.

A quick look down the side of any T2 immediately reveals whether the restorer knew what they were doing, this bus exhibiting nice ripple-free panels all the way round. The bodywork remains very sound, with just a couple of areas where rust is peeping though on the front arches by the doors.

In 2015 'The Engine Shop' supplied a fully rebuilt engine, converted to run on unleaded petrol. The spec included a crack tested crankcase, reground crank, new bearings, 1,641cc barrels and new cylinder heads. It has only covered around 5,000 miles since.

A stainless exhaust system has been added, supplied by Just Kampers and the bus has been set up for ease of use and convenience, with lots of thoughtful additions.

The front seats have been retrimmed in red with a cubby inbetween with cup holders. There are coco mats up front too. In the rear there is a porta poti with pop up tent and a breathable car cover which includes poles and covering. Curtains are fitted and the vendor has also sourced a set of black out curtains for a really good night's kip.

There are twin roofracks for extra luggage or surf boards and it has a useful towbar fitted too, and two new tyres were fitted late last year.

Driven to us for the sale, it is ready to go and could be out there on the beach next weekend of so desired. If 'living the dream' in a Bay Window camper is on your agenda, this bus is well worth careful consideration.
