2010 LTI TX4 Elegance
Iconic London Taxi with
lower mileage - ideal to nip in and out the city in complete discretion with all
the bonuses of a Taxi
Supplied new by Mann & Overton of
Islington, London in December 2012 to its first of just 3 owners, this LTI TX4
taxi is in Elegance specification with automatic transmission mated to the
proven 2.4 litre diesel engine.
Finished in iconic black, it served in
London until our last owner purchased it for fun in Sherbourne, Dorset last
year. Showing just 124,200 miles this TX4 is barely run in, with many (like the
other LTI Taxi in the sale) having covered galactic miles with ease given
the low revving, low stress placed on the engines and regular
use.
Looking cool with its HGV style hub caps and mock taxi license on
the back puporting to be the Caunsall Cab Co, it offers seating for 6 in the
back plus the driver up front, sat in a comfy Recaro sports seat with wood
effect trim and an array of switches to play with including air con. Ideal to
slip in and out of the Big Smoke via the bus and taxi lanes, congestion zones
and other usually off-limits areas the normal motorist can only dream of
accessing. We can see the appeal.
Within the history file, we find
the V5C, service book revealing 5 stamps plus hand written note suggesting the
cambelt was changed at 114,000 miles with the last stamped service in July 2019
(mileage not stated) along with a selection of maintenance and parts invoices
which include £317 spent on recovery an fitment of a new alternator in November
2020, ignition switch in January 2021, rectification of owner stated faults and
new battery in October 2020 costing £312, ECU software update in March 2020
costing £199, replacement of the termostat housing in February 2020, new OSF
wheel bearing and top mount in December 2019 costing £119, replacement of
supplied gearbox oil cooler in October 2019 at a cost of £120, full service and
replacement head lamps in August 2019 costing £220 and a monster £2159 spend in
October 2018 at 114,558 miles to include timing belt service, intercooler to
intercooler hose renewal, EGR valve, EGR cooler, valve actuation system, an
array of gaskets and hoses, suspension bushes, damper and brake pads and in
December 2016 a repair to the chassis cross member costing £234 and major
service costing a further £1200.
The MOT is valid until October 2021
with one advisory for a slight oil leak and there are 9 old MOTs additionally on
file plus 2 fobs and spare keys. Ready to put to work or use for fun or whatever
you see fit, these Taxis always sell well and given the low mileage and
ownership of this example we expect this trend to continue.
