1972 Alfa Romeo 1300 GT Junior
Straight and
smart LHD GT Junior from a private collection in S. Ireland; originally an
Italian car; in super order both above and below
Supplied new in
Italy in January 1972, this 105 Series Bertone Coupe comes to us from a
private Southern Irish collection, the owner ensuring all his cars are as good
as can be.
The car was purchased from a dealer in Dublin by our
vendor who completed the import and registration process in Ireland in July
2015 after the GT Junior had come in from Italy where it was last
registered 44794 MT and where it recieved an MOT in April 2014 at which time it
was showing 24,481Km.
The history file for this gorgeous little GT Junior
1300 includes the Irish log book, import document, UK MOT, Irish equivilent SORN
docs, copy car club (1 Club Nazionale Fiat 600) photo and info from Italy dated
February 2010 showing the car and details of its Italian owner, Roberto
Ferrazzolo of Roma, Irish NCT (MOT) dated July 2015, Italian ownershsip
booklet/registrtion document and declaration of conformity detailing (with
translations) the ownership histoy of the car until export to the UK in January
2014 from Modena (the car's license plate changed as it moved around Italy with
various owners which is the norm).
Invoices on file show replacement of
the rear prop shaft section at 25,611Km in October 2014 by a Dublin Alfa
specialist costing 442Euros, 708Euros spent on replacement inner wishbone
bushes, ARB bushes and replacement UJ in August 2014 also in Dublin, and then
prior to that, £567 spent by Classic car specialists Arun Cars of Hants on a
pre-MOT check, service, washer pump, ignition parts and two new
UK-compliant headlamps.
More recently, our vendor has had his small
specialist team go through the car and repair or replace anything that needed
attention including fitment of new sound deadening material, new carpets, new
door glass seals, door hinge repair, new door seals, boot seals, new parcel
shelf, new accelerator pedal, brake pedal rubber, new ignition parts, new
plugs, flasher unit, and a full re-spray in its original dark
blue.
Presenting superbly, and starting promptly via a discreet starter
button under the steering column, this dainty little car sounds as it should
with a cheeky rasp and felt tight and nimble as we moved it around for these
shots and accompanying video. The black vinyl interior looks crisp and
fresh, the paintwork excellent bar a mark to the boot lid which looks to have
happened during transit, much to the vendor's dismay. The steering wheel fitted
was a personal choice of the owner, and looks very pretty - although the
original is enroute to us should that be more your cup of
tea.
**BUYERS PLEASE NOTE The car is of course from the EU, and as
such the rules have recently changed. We have undertaken to make a NOVA
declaration on successful sale for the new owner, but any fees and Duty due will
be the laibility of the buyer but given the car is a Classic car, of some 49
years in age we understand the Duty is of a minimal amount **
