Description
2004 Aston Martin Vanquish - Chassis Number
SCFAC233J4B501332
Aston Martin Vanquish has original origin in the
UK. Hand built and produced in the UK and Registered in the
UK.
Euro spec, UK registered LHD Vanquish V12 showing
just 9,900km (6,200 miles) with supporting history; stunning condition
throughout
Understood to originally have been a cancelled French
order, this left-hand drive European spec car was purchased by a Japanese owner,
covering very few kilometres in the following years until importation to
the UK in 2015/16.
Still recording just 9,980Km (6,201 miles) from new, the car is, as you
might imagine in splendid order throughout and started promptly as we manoeuvred
it around for these images, the deep exhaust bark ricocheting off the walls of
our Classic Car Barn much to the amusement of those inside.
Powered by Aston’s 5.9 litre V12 which kicks out a whopping 460bhp and 542NM
of torque, it was sufficient to power this monster up to a top speed of at least
190mph and 0-60mph in under 5 seconds. As with most, this example is fitted with
the flappy paddle sequential 6-speed manual ‘box and also has 2+2 seating
(optional).
Finished in Stronsay Silver and sitting on original 19" 7-spoke alloy wheels
(as does the awesome, Q-branch modified Vanquish in James Bond's Die
Another Day), it really does look the part.
Inside, we find a wonderfully cocooning cabin with beautifully trimmed,
two-tone leather interior in charcoal and light grey along with half leather
steering wheel, heated electric seats, Platinum dash trim, adjustable steering
column, light grey Alcantara head-lining, Sports mode, glass starter button,
black carpets with grey edging, speed sensitive power steering, upgraded stereo
featuring Bluetooth and navigation (another is boxed in the boot), stainless
exhaust, colour coded mirror backs, two-tone door cards with polished aluminium
accents, twin tyre inflator canisters, red brake callipers, rain sensitive
wipers etc etc.
Within the history file, we find the V5C registration document showing the
car was registered in the UK in August 2019 following importation showing just
one UK owner (our vendor), CoC document with purchase receipt for these docs
from Aston Martin (£238.80) permitting easy registration abroad should any new
owner wish to keep it at their second home in Saint Tropez or Marbs?, metal
cased Japanese owner’s manual, metal cased quick reference guide and service
documentation including first check at 214km on 31 January 2005, another at
1,932km in February 2006, Jan 2007 at 3,316km, Jan 2008 at 3,919km, April 2009
at 4,446km, 4,811km (date - Japanese script unclear, assumed to be 2010), Feb
2011 at 5,075km, 5,966km – date unclear).
The car appears to have been exported from Japan on December 31st
2015 according to the detail on the Export certificate on file with the car
receiving a health check by JCT600 Aston Martin of Leeds in December 2016 at
9,422Km with all showing as Green (pass) bar a small oil leak from a rear axle
speed sensor. The car was then MOT’d in 2017 and 2019 at 9,523km and 9,533km
before being treated to a new Alpine music system as mentioned in August 2018 by
Mostrack in Cheltenham at a cost of £1,174.80 including fitment of a DAB aerial
and removal of the JDM unit (boxed, in the boot).
The car was finally UK registered in August 2019 by our vendor ahead of a
trip to Aston Martin Cheltenham for an annual service at 9,727Km at a cost of
£866.57 including health check and video and MOT in January 2021 showing no
advisories (as you’d expect!).
Having spent so little time out on the road, its no surprise the car is in
the condition we see here> It is crying out to be used, but given its
super low mileage, we suspect it will continue to be preserved and likely find
its way into a bubble for longer term storage as an investment - both wonderful
and sad at the same time! It must be one of the lowest mileage examples on
the market so get bidding and add it to your collection - just make sure
you have some fun at the same time.
