Plant and Machinery Auction Consignor

Duties include:
The Job:
• Assist in building on our established and highly successful Plant, Agricultural and HGV auction
• Sourcing new business in the Construction Plant, Agricultural and HGV sectors.
• Ensuring clients receive the highest levels of serviceThe Person:
- An interest in construction plant or agricultural machinery with an already established network in the plant or agricultural sector.
- Experienced in growing new business opportunities whilst managing an existing client portfolio.
- A friendly yet professional demeanour, great communicator and capable of representing our time-honoured brand.
Requirements:
- The key goal for this job is to secure consignments from vendors into our auctions.
- You will forge long lasting and rewarding relationships with clients operating in charge of large fleets of vehicles or machines, demonstrating the value we can add to their end of use disposals process.
- You will be a hunter sales type, not afraid to continue making calls and following leads in pursuit of gathering entries.
- Contacting potential purchasers and drumming up business to encourage new bidders at our auction, as well as helping give honest and clear guidance regarding the condition and provenance of equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Competent with IT, training will be given for our in-house systems.

Plant & Machinery: Collections Agent
Madley (HR2), HR2 9NH
Duties include:
Summary: Carry out collections & asset inspections on behalf of a range of finance houses, leasing companies & asset-based lenders.
Responsibilities: You will be the “boots on the ground” presence for our top end finance company client list. Jobs can range from re-connection visits, thorough mechanical asset inspections, arranging & overseeing asset collections and carrying out investigation work on behalf of our customers.
Day to day: Most of your time will be spent on the road, a typical day might see you attend multiple jobs, you will be expected to keep thorough records of each engagement and report back to your line manager and at times directly to our customer (the instructing finance company). You will be expected to plan your own routes in order of priority and to ensure wasted mileage is kept to a minimum. Often you will need to liaise with our transport manager in order to arrange for specialist vehicle collections at short notice, assistance and support will be given for this. There can be drastic changes in circumstance between jobs, so a dynamic approach is always needed.
This job may involve multiple nights spent out away from home, compensation and overnight money would be provided for these stays.Skills required:

Ability to schedule & plan your own time as well as being able to react to drastic plan changes.

Logistics and Transport Specialist

The Job
We have an exciting new opportunity for a Logistics and Transport Specialist. To oversee the co-ordinating, planning and purchase of haulage for a wide variety of items, from a family car to a 95 tonne excavator.Our UK-wide haulage requirements see us arranging movements in and out of our sales site in Madley, Herefordshire. We have an extensive portfolio of haulier contacts across the country, and use these to effectively manage our transport requirements. We also have overseas clients, so expertise in this field would be a bonus.
Brightwells assists in the movement of around 50,000 items per year for a large number of clients, including many Emergency Services, Finance & Leasing Companies, the Environment Agency, Utilities Companies, Forestry Commission and the Ministry of Defence
The Person
This role is a new position, working alongside skilled and knowledgeable colleagues with extensive experience in this sector. Demonstrating a sound understanding of the requirements of organising and managing haulage loads, the ideal candidate will be able to address the challenges of cost, environmental requirements and the needs of the client. Innovative and sustainable solutions are key to this element of our business.The Requirements
• We are looking for a motivated and organised person who loves a challenge
• Ideally you should be from a transport and/or logistics background and be able to demonstrate knowledge of the sector and environmental processes.
• The ability to source suitable solutions at the right price, manage the expectations of our customers and assist with the fulfillment of contract requirements are key factors in this role.Your Role
Your role will be to co-ordinate and oversee the haulage requirements of Brightwells and our clients. Working with our haulage contractors, you will maximise loads, minimise environmental impact, and work within contract requirements and KPI’s. You will be responsible for maintaining quality standards in line with our ISO accreditations.Your responsibilities will include
• Haulage procurement and rate negotiation to optimise loads and minimise costs
• Log all haulage jobs into our in-house system
• Oversee all aspects of incoming and outgoing haulage
• Seek innovative and sustainable solutions
• Monitor invoices and debtors
• Ensure co-operation of all suppliers in insurance/compliance requirements
• Promote best working practice and compliance of regulations
