  • Classic and Vintage Car Specialist/Consultant/Consignor

    Duties include:

    The job:

    An opportunity has arisen within our classic and vintage car department.

    The job will include:

    • Assisting in developing our auctions further, attracting new clients through networking and marketing initiatives
    • Following up leads passed on by the office in regard to clients wanting to offer their vehicles with us
    • Liasing with clients and advising on potential value of their vehicles
    • Clear and concise communication to clients regarding negotiation of charges and explanations of our terms and conditions
    • Photographing cars to a given format and uploading to the Brightwells website
    • Recording and uploading of vehicles to our website and producing reports from our in house auction system (training will be given)
    • Helping to lay out the Classic Garage to form a safe, comprehensive and cohesive display
    • Taking part in videos helping to introduce vehicles that are being offered for sale
    • Creating accurate and informative descriptions of vehicles entered into the auctions
    • Identifying opportunities to increase revenues from existing clients
    • Ensuring clients receive the highest levels of service
    • Help buyers get the information they require
    • Making all our customers feel welcome and valued
    • Collaboration with all departments throughout Brightwells

    The person:

    • The ability to work as part of a team is essential
    • Experience in auctions is preferable but not essential
    • Ability to introduce new business to Brightwells
    • Excellent communication and time management skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)training will be given for in-house systems
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills
    • Desire to seek out new business opportunities and convert them into sales
    • Happy to work both hands on in a vehicle showroom, and within an office environment.
    • Must have a driving licence
    • Strong English skills

    The desire to seek out new opportunities whilst managing an existing client portfolio is a must. Someone who is equally comfortable closing a deal, arranging data reports or advising clients on market conditions. Gaining the trust and confidence of the customer

  • Vehicles Department, Workshop and Yard Manager

    Duties include:

    The job

    • Co-ordinate the smooth running of our busy vehicle auction yard
    • Liasing with office staff to build work schedules for workshop and yard team
    • Ensure the volume of vehicle preparations required each week is met
    • Monitor work flow, solve problems, identify issues and pre-empt/manage
    • Co-ordinate a team of around 20 people, getting the best out them
    • Ability to motivate a team to deliver objectives and meet targets
    • Excellent attention to detail and time management
    • Produce reports from our in house auction system
    • Maintain high levels of quality required by our clients

    The person

    The role requires someone with a positive “can-do” attitude who is happy to help anyone and everyone to get the job done. Experience of managing a large team of people is essential, so perhaps you have a workshop, production or logistics background. The ability to manage tasks and work to a schedule/timeline is essential.
