  • Plant & Machinery: Auction Assistant

    Madley (HR2), HR2 9NH

    Duties include:

    The Job

    The role of auction assistant is where many of our senior leadership team have started their careers. This role has fantastic potential for the candidate who is willing to go above and beyond in their day to day working life. No experience is needed & full training will be given in all aspects of the job.

    • Marking out rows and ensuring all machines are parked correctly
    • Sticking lot numbers and ensuring each lot is well presented for sale
    • Washing and preparing machines & vehicles for auction
    • Moving hand tools and helping load customer’s vehicles with purchased lots
    • Assisting the office admin staff where necessary
    • Assisting the loader drivers and customers where necessary
    • Assisting the auction cataloguers & photographers where necessary
    • Assisting with moving trucks & machinery around our auction site

    The Person

    This role is predominantly an active, outdoor job with some requirements for indoor reporting and customer facing admin. The role requires someone with a positive “can-do” attitude who is happy to help anyone and everyone on site to get the job done. You will be required to work outdoors in all weathers as well as being physically fit to climb on and off machinery.

    Knowledge & a keen interest in heavy plant/mining/quarry/farming/trucking equipment is a huge positive as you will be seeing a lot of it!

    Interest in professional auction services is desirable.

    • Computer literacy and confidence using IT/mobile phones will be a positive

  • Vehicles: Workshop Technician

    Duties include:

    The Job

    • Assisting with the preparation of vehicles for sale
    • Removal of livery, lighting and associated electrical items from vehicles
    • Light mechanical work, jump starting equipment
    • Assisting customers and others around the yard with moving and handing over vehicles
    • Monitor, report and uphold all Health & Safety legislation and processes on site
    • Light yard maintenance duties

    The Person

    This role is a varied position with an existing team and would suit someone with experience of working on vehicles. Mechanical qualifications are desirable but not essential. Work required may be indoors or outdoors. Operation of small tools and a pressure washer will be required.

    • Ideally you should be a “hands on” person with vehicles, or a mechanic and be able to take instruction as well as work on own initiative and follow Health & Safety legislation

  • Social Media & Marketing Content Creator

    Office based (Madley HR2 9NH), with some working from home if necessary and by negotiation 

    Duties include:

    We have an exciting opportunity for a creative Social Media & Marketing Content Creator to join our industry-leading auction business based in Herefordshire. This is a full-time role.

    Role Overview: Create compelling content showcasing our various auction and remarketing businesses, which include, vehicles, wine, machinery, plant, classic cars, government disposals and cherished number plates.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Create professional photo and video content for YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok etc
    • Develop and execute engaging social media campaigns
    • Implement and maintain marketing strategy

    • Manage and distribute our digital messaging services

    • Manage and orchestrating some processes between our social media and websites

    • Document our high-end detailing processes
    • Create before/after transformation content
    • Produce educational content about our services


    Required Skills & Equipment:
    • Advanced photography and video editing skills beyond basic app usage
    • Proven experience in growing social media engagement
    • Professional camera equipment and editing capabilities
    • Strong understanding of social media algorithms
    • Excellent written English for content creation
    • Full UK driving license

    Location & Travel:
    • Based at our Madley Auction Site facility
    • Travel to partner auction centres within a one-hour radius
    • Company travel expenses provided

    Hours & Compensation:
    • Full-time (38 hours per week)
    • £12.00-£15.00 per hour (based on experience)
    • Monday to Friday scheduling
