Description
2008 Beauford Saloon
A real eyeful; reliable
Ford two-litre power; leather interior; ready for work or
play....
Built with half an eye on the wedding business, the first
Beauford appeared in 1985, an outlandishly styled pastiche of a Vintage
Limousine. Cruella Deville would have approved.
Using a Mini shell as the
central element mounted on a ladder chassis with fibreglass wings and
bonnet, the engine installation was very much up to the builder, the cars being
supplied as kits for completion by the owner.
Ford components were most
commonly used, principally because much of the suspension and steering was
designed to incorporate Ford Sierra components.
This very nicely finished
example has a lusty two-litre Zetec engine and comes with power
steering. Finished in black and silver, it has been in the hands
of the current keeper since 2008 and has spent much of that in
Northern Ireland.
There is little other history with the car,
although that is no surprise as it looks a lot older than it is, the
car having been registered in 2008! It carries a no advisory MOT which
expires in August 2022. The V5C lists it as a Beauford four door
saloon.
It is listed as having been stolen in 2013 on the insurance
register, but there is a letter on file from the local police confirming it was
returned shortly after and they have no further interest in the
matter.
Well finished inside and out with leather seats front and rear,
it offers opportunities to use both privately or commercially and looks
like a lot of fun...how about the school run kids??
