A fascinating section covering all items of Military or Tribal interest held twice annually within 1- Day Fine Art Sales.
The Militaria Section usually includes a selection of military badges and buttons, medals and awards, swords and edged weapons, as well as antique and de-activated military firearms. We are lucky to employ Keith Perry as a Specialist consultant on medals. His expertise enables concise and accurate cataloguing of scarce and unusual medals to ensure they attain their full market value. Daniel Webb can offer his advice on more general military interest.
The Tribal Art Section includes masks, sculpture and artefacts from the indigenous peoples of sub-Saharan Africa, the Americas, the islands of the Pacific and Australia. Objects featured in these sales include religious and ceremonial items created for high ranking chiefs and priests, as well as utililitarian objects used day to day like headrests, jewellery, containers and architectural elements, and weapons like clubs, shields and knives.
Philip Keith catalogues the sale and is available for valuations. Philip is an Anthropology graduate with lifelong interest in Tribal Art.
